Adele Moon is originally from Ballina NSW, and
holds a Bachelor's Degree in Teaching (Primary) from the
University of New England.
Adele has
completed a significant amount of professional training in
early childhood education, including: Numeracy; Personal, Social and
Emotional Development; Play and Literacy; Health and Safety; Emergency
First Aid; Organising the Learning Environment; and Child Protection
Training.
Adele now has more than 15 years of experience in working as an
educator and coordinator with children and their families.
Several years ago, Adele returned to Australia with her family, after living and
working for 7 years in the U.K. Prior to working in the U.K. Adele
was employed in Australia for 3.5 years by ABC Learning Centres, where
she was a Pre-School Teacher and Coordinator of the After School Care
and Holiday Programs.
Adele says:

caring and fun environment.'
While in the U.K., Adele Successfully completed the Overseas Trained
Teachers program, gaining Qualified Teacher Status and a Diploma from
the department of Education and Skills.
She then worked
for a number of years as a Teacher and Foundation Stage Coordinator,
as a member of the Senior Management Team, at Victoria Dock Primary
School in Hull, England.
Her responsibilities included monitoring colleagues to ensure that
policies and procedures were being adhered to and curriculum coverage
was evident. As the Foundation Stage coordinator, she was also
responsible for liaising with the staff at the local nursery to assure
continuity, and to facilitate children's smooth transition into school.
She assured effective liaison with parents on their children's
entry to Victoria Dock Lower School.
Adele led a team of teachers coordinating the ongoing assessment and
individual profiles of pupils, and was responsible for the pastoral
needs, personal and social development and good behaviour of Foundation
pupils, and was the second point of contact after the class teacher.
Adele was subject coordinator for Geography, Design and Technology, and
worked as Child Protection Coordinator. As Child Protection
Coordinator, her duties included being the first point of call for
initial concerns, liaising closely with the Head on all issues,
organising Child Protection development for all staff to keep abreast of
current legislation and practice, attending case conferences, and
liaising with relevant outside agencies.
Adele says that some of her key strengths lie in communication,
self-motivation, organization and time management. 'I enjoy teamwork
and have good interpersonal skills, which enable me to interact
well with others. I am dedicated and committed to furthering my
skills, academically and professionally.'
